Bistro MD Vs Diet To Go – Which is Best For You?
Trying to compare Bistro MD vs Diet To Go?
These are both very popular, nation-wide, fresh-meal diet delivery services.
They’re also two of the most affordable diet meal delivery services that you’ll find (another reason why they’re so popular).
Both have managed to keep costs down to around $20 a day – or maybe a bit more depending on which plan you want.
Contrast this with many services that start at $35 or even $49 a day and you’ll see they’re both great values.
But there are some differences between them.
So without further ado, here are the main points of difference between Bistro MD vs Diet To Go:
Bistro MD vs Diet To Go – Price
Technically, Bistro MD is slightly more per day. It starts around $22 and up (although you can Save 25% Off your first order here).
Diet To go starts around $19 a day and up (However you can save 10% off your first order here).
However having said that, this $19 price is really only if you do the 2 meals a day with Diet To Go instead of 3. So if you do the full 3 meals a day and 7 days a week, you could be paying around the same as Bistro MD. So you have to compare apples to apples here.

Also, note this also doesn’t take into account any current special discounts either one of these services is offering (see the links above for discounts on both services).
Bistro MD vs Diet To Go – Delivery Options
It can be a bit confusing as both services give you a lot of options. However here’s the gist of it. Bistro MD has a 5 or 7 day meal delivery option. You get 3 meals a day. There’s also an optional add-on if you want snacks/desserts included.

Diet To Go also offers you the choice to get 5 or 7 day meal delivery. However you also have the option to get 3 meals per day or just two meals per day (no breakfast). There is no dessert/snack option.
Either service will deliver the food to your home in special packaging so you do NOT need to be home to receive the meals.

Bistro MD vs Diet To Go – Food Quality
This is always up for debate as everyone has different tastes. However overall, the general consensus is that Bistro MD has meals that are a little bit more gourmet than Diet To Go. Having tried them both, I have to agree that this is the case.
For example menu items with Bistro MD include:
Roasted Turkey Breast with Gravy, Seasoned Brussel Sprouts and Spiced Apples
Chicken Cordon Bleu with 3 Cheeses with Dijon Mustard Sauce, Quinoa with Rice and Fresh Broccoli
Braised Beef in a Port Wine Sauce with Butternut Squash, Red Onions, Carrots and Red Pepper

Diet To Go Entrees include:
Chicken Tenders with Pepper Sauce and Brussel Sprouts
Baked Salmon with Pineapple Salsa and Carrots
Chicken Breast with Bacon and Asparagus

Bistro MD vs Diet To Go – Customizable Options
Both services are really good at this. You can go online and swap out menu items on your list for other items you’d prefer – at no extra charge.

And with Diet To Go for example you can change your plan online at any time (so if you want to try the lower carb plan for example, it’s no problem).

Bistro MD vs Diet To Go – Meal Plans
Diet To Go used to have a much simpler option: low carb, vegetarian or traditional low fat. They’ve “upgraded” to a new Balance, Balance D and Net 30 plan – however basically this is just the same as before.
The Balance is old traditional low fat program. The Balance D is the diabetic option and the Net 30 is the low carb plan. There is a also vegetarian and seafood-free option as you go further into the menu.
Bistro MD is based on one set low calorie diet. However there are specialty diets too like a gluten-free plan, diabetic plan and a plan for women in menopause. Bistro MD also has plans for wedding weight loss and after-baby weight loss.

Bottom Line?
So those are some of the main differences between Bistro MD vs Diet To Go.
Basically Diet To Go can be slightly more affordable. And you get some of the extras you don’t get with other delivery services like juice, condiments, etc.
But Bistro MD is more on the gourmet side with a bit more food in each meal. So it depends on what you’re looking for.
